I have two different methods for peeling large quantities of garlic.
- You need two large identical sized metal bowls. Place garlic cloves in one bowl and seal bowl lip – to – lip with the other bowl. Shake the bowls vigorously for about 30 seconds. Check the garlic and remove any cloves that have no skin. Repeat until all the garlic is peeled. Beware! This is a noisy process but very effective.
- Boil a pot of water. Add garlic cloves and boil for approximately two minutes. Remove garlic cloves from the water and place in an ice bath. The skin should now easily slide off the clove.
